How does the initial Shopify import work?

After a store connects, Rooktally imports the required orders, products, and inventory in bounded batches. Operations becomes ready only after those required resources complete, so a partial import is not presented as a ready operating view.

How fresh is Shopify data?

Supported Shopify order, product, and inventory changes are covered by webhooks. Sync and recovery status also show the last successful sync plus stale or error state. That gives you freshness visibility without promising zero-latency updates or an SLA.

Can I bring in historical order data?

Yes. Use the validated orders CSV workflow when Shopify history is unavailable or a store is migrating. It brings historical order context into the workflow without pretending that a file upload is a live Shopify connection.

What is the CSV fallback?

The CSV path is a non-real-time order snapshot and migration path for unsupported or disconnected stores. It does not replace the ongoing Shopify connection, and product, variant, and inventory CSV inputs are not supported in the current app.
